Gratitude: Key To Power

Give Thanks

The gifts which God gives each day are indescribable so we join Paul and say” thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 9 2 Corinthians 9:15) Learning to be thankful is one of the best ways to combat a sense of victimization and self-pity ,despair, hopelessness and perpetual fatigue. Thanksgiving should be part of every conversation, not just prayer. One of the major sins of many people today is that of ingratitude. According to Romans 1, lack of gratitude’s the seed of most evil acts that go against the will and purpose of God, they want to be something else  so they make a substitute. They idolize. The women are not grateful for being women, they seek to act as men;  the men are not thankful for  the creation of women , they must substitute themselves and even animals for women. The men are not grateful for being men. Children are not grateful for the parents they have. Their parents can never do enough for them ;they are not grateful for the little their parents are   able to afford for them. Parents are not grateful for their children; they compare, complain and castigate and complicate. The lack of gratitude ends in  the removal of the spirit of God from their heart and they become darkness instead of light.

An understanding of gratitude is of great significance to the flow of God’s power in our lives. Gratitude is one of the key ways to avoid many of the errors against the scriptures cautions against. Prayers of Gratitude keep us in a place of truth and check the sinful impulse to believe that we are the source of our success. The prayer of gratitude opens our eyes to see so that we do not arrogantly presume that our development and progress are based on our own resources. A prayer of gratitude can be the antidote to the type of thinking which marginalizes God and misjudges other.
